Germany wants the leaders of the G8 along with India, China, Brazil, Mexico and South Africa at their summit from June 6-8 to agree to limit the temperature rise to two degrees this century and to cut emissions by 50 percent from 1990 levels by 2050."Limit the temperature rise to two degrees this century"?? How can possibly we effect a temperature outcome?
What if it turns out that solar activity is the real culprit in climate change after all (like it has been in every other warming and cooling event in the earth's history)? It won't matter. Any country that signs on to a temperature outcome makes itself liable if the temperature exceeds the target, regardless of the actual reason for the increase.
